Massachusetts State Library
For Jewish American Heritage Month I designed an exhibit about important first Jewish people in Massachusetts and in the State Legislature.
In addition, while Special Collections was working on a cataloging project for their city directories, which is done every ten years, I realized our spreadsheet we use for reference questions did not work for efficient cataloging. I reformatted the spreadsheet so that we could catalog exactly as they should be on our shelves. In essence, there are regional directories with many cities, so rather than each city referring you to that regional directory and checking it multiple times, I listed each city under the regional directory so it can be checked just once.
Temple Akiba
Last Fall I worked with Temple Akiba of Culver City to go through their photos and other materials to develop an exhibit for their seventieth anniversary. I collaborated with community members and temple staff members to process their materials, recommend layouts, and design the exhibit.
Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum
The Museum has recently opened their Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. In preparation for the exhibit I aided in describing Judaica gifts to President Reagan. A few of these objects went on display alongside the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit.
